Nevertheless, Apple says that Crossfade will let you smoothly transition between songs so your music never stops. .It’s extremely easy to enable crossfade from the Settings app on any iPhone or iPad model that supports iOS 17/iPadOS 17. Collaborative Playlists in Apple Music

Yet another new feature mentioned by Apple, which will become available in Apple Music later this year, is the ability to create Collaborative Playlists with your friends and family. However, details relating to this new feature are still scarce, as Apple has only revealed a single screenshot of it. Nonetheless, a closer look at the aforementioned screenshot reveals four people working on a Collaborative Playlist. It features a handful of tracks along with a profile picture of the person who added the track. Moreover, there’s also a button-up top, which seems to be an option for adding and removing people from the playlist.

Revamped SharePlay and CarPlay experience in iOS 17

There’s also a new update to ‌Apple Music‌ that will revamp your SharePlay and CarPlay music listening experience. With iOS 17, SharePlay is now built into CarPlay, allowing even the passengers in the backseat to add tracks to a queue or play/pause and skip a track, quite reminiscent of the AUX cable. As per the users that have accessed this new feature, you automatically get a prompt to join a SharePlay session on your iPhone when the driver initiates it from CarPlay, or you can also scan a QR code. Once connected, you can easily contribute tracks to the session as usual by touching and holding a song, album, or playlist and tapping SharePlay.

Other features and UI changes coming to Apple Music with iOS 17

Besides the changes listed above, Apple has also silently revealed other minor features and UI improvements coming to Apple Music with iOS 17. For instance, Apple has now updated AirPlay to support Dolby Atmos for high-fidelity audio streaming. Besides, although missing in iOS 17 beta 1, there’s also a new star icon on the music player that will offer a quick way to favorite the currently playing artist. As far as the new UI changes are concerned, the music player now features a full-screen, animated album artwork, and the tracks which offer lyrics that aren’t time synced now have a bigger and more legible font. Moreover, the minimized version of the music player now floats over the ‌Apple Music‌ interface, unlike iOS 16, where the two UI elements were attached. Wrapping up… All in all, iOS 17 doesn’t bring a drastic overhaul to the Apple Music interface. Instead, Apple has focused on quality-of-life improvements that enable a better listening experience for users, sprinkled with subtle visual changes. Regardless, we’ll have to wait till September to see which features make their way to the final version of iOS 17 when it releases publicly. Read more:
