Of course, the biggest highlights of the PUMA x Final Fantasy XIV collaboration are the footwear selection, which is revealed to be based on the game’s theme of “the duality of light and darkness.” This is demonstrated nicely by the two different colour schemes offered across the select models. However, based on the listing on Puma Malaysia’s website, it appears that only the Slipstream Esports and RS-X Esports sneakers are made available for the local market. Unfortunately, the Maco SL and Court Rider sneakers as well as the Leadcat 2.0 flip-flops are currently listed as “sold out” in Japan. It’s not known whether the brand intends to bring them over our way if they do get restocked in the near future. For the Slipstream Esports model, warriors of light will appreciate the bright white and teal colour option, while the dark grey, black and purple combination would surely entice followers of chaos. Regardless of which, Puma x Final Fantasy XIV co-branding and design elements are present across both variants. Another nice touch is the inclusion of a crystal-shaped charm representing either faction, which you can attach to either side of the footwear. Both Slipstream Esports variants are retailing for RM 599. Of course, the good vs evil theme also carries over to the RS-X Esports model’s colour selection. The light variant is presented with a combination of white, cream and blues, while the darkness version is offered in grey, black and purple colours. Puma x Final Fantasy XIV co-branding and elements are featured as well, but not as prominent as those featured on the Slipstream sneakers. In its listing on Puma Malaysia’s website, the two RS-X Esports variants are priced at RM 649. As mentioned earlier, the entire collection also includes clothing items and accessories, which includes two T-shirts (RM 199 each), a hoodie (RM 499), pants (RM 359), backpack (RM 299), cross-body bag (RM 169), baseball cap (RM 129) and a bucket hat (RM 199). With the exception of the shirts, all of the other items mentioned are only available in a single colour option. Again, much like the three footwear models mentioned earlier, some apparels and accessories from the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration are not listed on the Puma Malaysia website, likely due to stock shortages.
